A great product that we highly recommend to help toilet train children the fun way.

Our Philosophy:

A team approach.
Our experience in working with children has demonstrated that close collaboration between the family, school / kinder and OT is vital. This results in families and teachers gaining the skills required to assist the child to reach independence and confidence in a skill area more quickly.

Goals are set collaboratively.
By involving the child, family and teachers in setting the goals, it ensures that therapy is directly targeted to the individual child’s needs. This means that progress can be measured and seen, and a child can see for him or herself when they have achieved their targets!!!

Use lots of play based activities.
Children love to play and using lots of play based activities is the most effective way of engaging a child in the therapy process to make learning FUN!!

Special focus on working with children to develop friendship skills.
Many children don’t just have difficulties with skills such as writing, sport, etc but also friendship and social skills. These difficulties often impact on a child’s self esteem and ability to relate to their peers. By actively using a range of strategies we aim to enable children to develop and maintain self confidence and healthy peer relationships. After all, having good friends is integral to a child being happy!!

Occupational Therapy is an allied health profession concerned with promoting health and well being through occupation. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life.  (World Federation of Occupational Therapists, 2004).
