Meet The Sprout Team

Monica Leo

MON

Monica Leo (Ba. OT (Hons) – Director) otherwise known as “mamma Mon”. I am the mother hen of the team.  Ever since I was little I have wanted to work with kids…and every day they teach me something new. I never get tired of watching kids grow and be as amazing as they can be. Being a mother of two kids myself, I also understand the importance of supporting families so they can look after themselves and in doing so nurture their child’s unique strengths. Setting up Sprout was part of the vision I have to improve the quality of life for all children with special needs and to find a job where I can play and keep learning. I may be the oldest (I prefer “wisest”) but I am still fun!!

Keelin Slater

Keelin Slater (BA. MOTPrac). I am the person who will be laughing very loudly at her own joke, I love a good laugh!  My work has always revolved around children. Now, I am very excited to have the privilege of working 1:1 with kids and their families to achieve their goals and support their function. Most importantly, helping kids to feel successful and good about themselves. I have moved countries and schools before and know how challenging transitions and new environments can be. But, I also know that the value of kindness and support during those transitions can be invaluable. I enjoy jokes, being playful and taking my very fluffy border collie for a walk…and cheese, I love cheese.

Ashlee Boyle

Ashlee Boyle

Ashlee Boyle (Ba.OT) When I was growing up people always asked me what I wanted to do. All I knew was that I wanted to work with children and I wanted to make a difference. I was lucky enough to find OT! Now people always ask me exactly what I do for a living and I get to tell them I have the best job in the world. I love being a part of a team that create opportunities for children to succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can be. I absolutely love incorporating my love of sport and movement into my sessions with clients whilst also finding out what makes them ‘tick’ so we can not only make their time at Sprout successful but also enjoyable too!

Kate Wormell

Kate Wormell

Kate Wormell (Ba. OT)- Occupational Therapist. I was fortunate enough to spend my final University placement at Sprout. From the minute I walked in the door I knew I was somewhere special. Lucky for me I was hired not long after & have remained ever since! Without stating the obvious… I love helping kids & their families. Namely, I love helping them feel good about themselves. This is my number one priority. I also love learning and have received further training around Feeding difficulties (The SOS Approach, ESI institute), Motor planning difficulties, Therapeutic iPad use, Social Thinking, CBT, Play, and Sensory Processing difficulties galore!

Meaghan Peck

Meaghan Peck

Meaghan is our Office Manager!! She is usually around keeping the rest of us in line most days from 10am – 2.30pm unless she is busy with her three wonderful kids. She is super organised and efficient and you may even get to hear her infectious laughter booming through the clinic on occasions.  Not only does she keep the wheels oiled and turning in the office but she is a wealth of knowledge about services on the Peninsula.

Jane Weinzierl

A little bit about me.. I have a sweet tooth and you will often find me baking yummy sweets and treats to eat during the week. If I have some downtime, I like to complete puzzles as I find them relaxing and enjoy the challenge of finding the piece I am looking for. I love watching and being a part of children’s learning and discovering things, especially the interesting faces they show when they learn or see something new. What I like about being an OT is there are so many different areas that we get the opportunity to help people with!

Krista Lenders

Krista Lenders

Krista Lenders (Ba. OT (Hons)-Occupational Therapist)- also known as “a ray of sunshine”. I am a fun, warm and nurturing therapist who loves working with families as part of their ‘team’! I have always enjoyed working with children and love exploring the world through their inquisitive eyes. One of my passions is developing strong relationships with families to provide opportunities to reach their full potential! I will ensure that you receive a family and child centred approach to your therapy. I enjoy incorporating my love of being creative in my sessions with my clients, and love getting to know all about my client’s passions and incorporating these into our work together.  Krista is currently on maternity leave.

Katelyn Roffey

Katelyn Roffey

Katelyn Roffey (Ba. OT (Hons)) Occupational therapist. I absolutely love working with children and their families. I often find at the end of a work day my cheeks are sore from grinning ear to ear. I love being able to celebrate each child’s achievements and I am passionate about nurturing self-efficacy through making each child feel good about themselves and their abilities. I love to dance and use my creative flare to make therapy engaging, and most importantly, fun! When I am not at work, loving what I do every day, I am usually socialising, eating, going for walks and spending time in my garden.
