Sprout can’t stop sprouting…

We would LOVE to welcome Michelle to our team, full time administration assistant.. Part time comedian! Michelle comes from a background of health and fitness and is now with is full time. Fun fact she also has a weekly radio show on the local station RPP FM on Fridays mornings! We are so happy to have her on board.

So lets get to know her!

Favourite colour? Orange is a favourite but I also love the blues and greens of the ocean.

Sweet or savoury? Savoury.

Summer or winter?  Definitely Summer. Warm days, sunshine, beach, salads, daylight past 6pm…

Curtains or ducks?  Ummm….interesting question. Ducks: I love their appearance of effortlessly gliding across the water seemingly relaxed and calm while underneath they are furiously paddling to keep themselves afloat and moving forward. Totally relatable!

Favourite childhood memory?   Summer days at the beach. We’d spend entire days at Seaford beach with family & friends, always so much laughter and food and zinc cream!

Favourite childhood TV show? Ok, let’s see if anyone knows these ones.. Gilligan’s Island, I Dream of Jeannie and on a Sunday night ‘The Wonderful World of Disney’

Describe your ideal day? An early walk with my dog, brunch somewhere nice along the beach with my family then seeing where the day takes us. Swim at the beach, a walk exploring somewhere new along the Peninsula. Good Food and good company.

Is there a quote you live by? I have 2.

“This too shall pass” this reminds me that good or bad, this current moment is fleeting and will pass so enjoy it if it is a good one and hang in there if it is challenging.

“If it is to be, it is up to me” – I love this one because firstly it’s made up of only 2 letter words but packs a punch and it reminds me that I am in charge of my choices and my path in life.

Sprout started in 2006 what were you doing then? I was at home raising my 2 children. In 2006 they were 2 & 4 years old so my life was play doh, kinder, colouring, laughter, sleepless nights, crying (all of us!) and trying to figure out what I was doing!!

If you were stuck on a desert island, what three things would you bring and why?

Just 3 things?!?

  1. My radio – I don’t think I could go without music in my day
  2. Salt & Vinegar chips – my weakness and the thing that I would most likely not find on the island
  3. My family – purely for entertainment. (does that count as 1 thing? If not- oh well, leave them behind and I’d take a good book!! Hehe..)

If you could have three people over for dinner, who would they be and why?

Again..just 3??!!

I’d probably choose 3 friends, the 3 that make me laugh the hardest, and the ones that won’t roll their eyes when the dinner is late because I’ve become distracted and are happy to order a pizza because it’s getting late and we’d all be starving!

Thanks Michelle!
